2nd Shift Position
The Warehouse Support Specialist is responsible for adjusting and maintaining the warehouse profile to optimize picking efficiency and maximize storage capacity for the Distribution Center. This position maintains accurate dimensions (DIMS) and weights of product through the use of Cubiscan, assists receiving by troubleshooting items with issues, and updates master data on new and existing products.
Responsibilities- Manage warehouse profile to ensure best picking efficiency for the distribution center, including Pick-n-Pass, Pick to Belt, Pallet racks, and Specialty areas.
- Direct consolidation activities as required to maintain sufficient storage locations.
- Correct any errors found in SAP’s MMO3 data in regards to the master data in the distribution center.
- Utilize Cubiscan machine to maintain accurate DIMS and weight of product within our SAP system.
- Use SAP and Qlik View business system to manage material movement activities to maximize best storage profiles for finished goods product in the distribution facility (Slot 3D).
- Provide weekly performance reporting to measure performance to expectations and develop action plans for under-performing metrics.
- Manage the number of split case picks in the racks to meet facility standards of less than 10%.
- Collaborate with corporate packaging engineers and approve all pallet layouts.
- Direct and oversee completion of physical movements of products in facility to improve profiling of products within the distribution center.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Supply Chain Management AAS or Certification preferred.
- Previous statistical analysis and slotting experience is a plus.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and take direction from multiple people.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Must have high attention to detail, and ability to understand and execute on complex instructions.
- Must be able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $54,100 USD – $64,064 USD. Salary may vary within or outside this range based on education, training, experience, and location. In addition to base salary, employees may participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based sales incentive plan.
