Warehouse Associate
Essential Responsibilities- Load and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
- Stage deliveries and store all product in designated locations.
- Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.
- Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.
- Obtain authorized signatures on paperwork.
- Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
- Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
- Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
- May operate specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
- Maintain grounds, picking up papers and trash, cleaning parking lot and entrance to building.
- Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
- Ensure cleanliness of offices, bathrooms, warehouse floor, truck docks and aisles through mopping, sweeping, and washing.
- Remove trash daily by emptying containers, transporting materials to disposal area, and recycling.
- Clean and sanitize product per company standard operating procedure.
- Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to due date.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
- Follow company policies and execute standards on appearance and brand representation.
- Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of operations.
- Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, department, and company.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience1+ year of general work experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Time management skills to ensure completion of work.
- General warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of powered industrial trucks for product relocation and safety inspection.
- Microsoft Office products (preferred).
Warehouse environment: sitting frequently, standing frequently, walking frequently, talking frequently, hearing frequently; lifting or moving up to 100 pounds; usage of hands and fingers; reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally. Sight is required to ensure safety.
Scope & SupervisionWork is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions. Under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance. Failure to accomplish results can normally be overcome without significant effect on the organization.
