Key Responsibilities- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee daily material handling, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
- Lead, schedule, and assign work to Material Handlers and warehouse personnel to meet operational goals and production demands.
- Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment in accordance with company procedures and inventory control requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory transactions through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and manual documentation as required.
- Conduct and oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment activities to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of shipments while verifying quantities, inspecting materials for damage, and addressing discrepancies.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments to support operational objectives and material availability.
- Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to promote productivity, accountability, and professional development.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
- Investigate inventory variances, shipping errors, and operational issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, material flow, and inventory control.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping performance, and productivity metrics.
- Organize warehouse locations and ensure a clean, safe, secure, and orderly work environment.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and operational support during peak periods, special projects, and emergency situations.
- Prepare reports and maintain records related to inventory, warehouse operations, safety incidents, and employee performance.
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, logistics, or a related environment.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics setting.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, shipping and receiving processes, and warehouse operations.
