Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Director, Disability Resource Center, UNLV Student Wellness [R0153022]
ROLE of the POSITIONThe Associate Director manages and trains a team of disability specialists. Leads the documentation review committee. Directs reporting and data gathering efforts; assists in the development and implementation of appropriate assessment tools in the evaluation of DRC programs and services.
Works To ensure compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, State, and University policies and procedures by identifying, facilitating, and coordinating accommodations for students who have disabilities for academic and activities sponsored by the university.
Assists the Director with staff supervision and development Assist the Director with drafting and implementing policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; developing programs and initiatives to raise awareness of disability issues; and consulting with faculty and staff on issues related to accommodations and accessibility. Provide direct supervision for staff, interns, and part time employees.

Minimum QualificationsThis position requires a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and Three years of professional work experience with students in an educational setting . Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
