The SI Leader is a peer academic support role that providesregularly scheduled, out-of-class study sessions for students enrolled in historically challenging STEM courses. SI Leadersattend the target course alongside enrolled students, modeleffective study strategies, and facilitate collaborative session sthat reinforce course content ans build students; independent learning skills.
Qualifications- Currently enrolled NMHU Student in good academic standing
- Earned an A or B in the target course (or equivalent, as approved by the SI Coordinator)
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
- Prior tutoring or leadership helpful but not required
