Summary:

New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension is seeking a Program Coordinator II to support the development and implementation of agricultural and economic programming in Las Vegas, New Mexico. This position will coordinate program activities, assist with farm education and training, and support day-to-day farm operations and participant activities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Candidate must live in San Miguel County.
• Oversee the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of program activities to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
• Assist the Farm Manager with conducting education and training sessions; monitoring participants’ proper and safe use of farm equipment, tools, and facilities; maintaining farm buildings and structures; and obtaining necessary materials and supplies for planting, cultivating, and harvesting farm products.
• Serve as a liaison with community partners to provide program information and promote program activities, recruit farm participants, and develop and strengthen markets for farm-produced products.
• Conduct assessments of program activities, including education and training, production, markets and marketing, and farm management practices. Identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate actions to enhance program performance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to program participants, employees, purchases, sales, production activities, and other program operations.
