Position Summary

One semester .8 term instructor (12 credit hours) of composition courses

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching up to 12 credits during the fall semester, including ENGL 1060 and 1110
• Attend composition meetings and department meetings
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students
• Attend mandatory meetings during Faculty Development Week
• Hold 4 office hours/week
• Contribute course data for outcomes assessment
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

M.A. or M.F.A. in English

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience teaching English courses at NMHU

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of and experience in teaching composition courses
