A part-time job on-campus offers a great way for you to earn money to help pay for school as well as to get a jump start on your career track. Student employment allows you to acquire work experience, transferable job skills, self-confidence, and develop a network of professional contacts for your future career. On-campus jobs include departmental, federal/state work-study, and graduate assistantships (GA) in non-academic departments.

Keep in mind that each department makes their own hiring decisions, therefore students are not placed in a job or guaranteed a job.

Job description may include routine duties with no prior experience needed to be able to perform. May involve a modest degree of responsibility and judgment. Routine data entry;
Answering phones;
Making copies;
Greeting customers;
Taking messages;
Managing confidential information;
Maintain regular attendance; and, Perform other job duties as assigned.

The Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the function of the Fly-Book Software. Assisting students with equipment checkout, and returns.

• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Uphold certifications that outdoor recreation deems necessary.
• Serve as a guide as well as maintain regular office duties.
• Maintain regular attendance;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

College student at NMHU enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours. High school diploma or GED .

Experience:

None

Students should be very knowledgeable about various outdoor recreation activities. Hiking, camping, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, and general back country skills required to survive in the outdoors. Students should also know the basic functions of outdoor equipment and maintenance.

Frequently:
Standing, Walking, Bending, Squatting, Kneeling, Repetitive hand motion, Prolonged use of computer. Occasionally:
Lifting a minimum of thirty (30) pounds, Climbing.

Hourly Rate $10.50/ Hour
