Geotechnical Project Manager
Location:
Las Vegas, Nevada
- Manage and deliver geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through execution and closeout
- Lead subsurface investigation programs, engineering analyses, and preparation of geotechnical reports and recommendations
- Provide geotechnical support for a wide range of development and infrastructure projects, including commercial, industrial, mixed-use, residential, and site development work
- Serve as a technical resource to internal teams and clients on foundation design, earthwork, retaining systems, slope stability, settlement, and pavement-related matters
- Partner closely with the Irvine-based geotechnical team to align technical standards, share resources, and support regional project delivery
- Build and expand the geotechnical practice in Las Vegas through client development, networking, cross-selling, and strategic relationship management
- Mentor junior staff and help recruit, develop, and grow a local geotechnical team over time
- Prepare scopes, budgets, proposals, and fee estimates; monitor project performance to meet quality, schedule, and profitability goals
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, environmental, and land development professionals
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field;
Master's degree preferred - Professional Engineer (PE) license required;
Nevada PE or ability to obtain through comity strongly preferred - 8+ years of relevant geotechnical consulting experience, including project management responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience preparing geotechnical reports and recommendations for land development and/or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of regional soils conditions, construction practices, and development trends in Nevada or the broader Southwest is highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage clients, win work, and contribute to office or practice growth
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across offices and disciplines
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence and initiative to help build a growing local practice
