Somos Un Pueblo Unido (Somos) is a statewide, immigrant-led organization advancing worker and racial justice across New Mexico. The Community Organizer recruits members, develops leaders, and supports grassroots campaigns to improve wages, working conditions, and immigrant inclusion.
Responsibilities include:- Recruiting and training immigrant and low-wage worker members
- Supporting advocacy, outreach, and mobilization efforts
- Facilitating meetings, workshops, and community events
- Building relationships with allies and coalition partners
- Presenting Know-Your-Rights trainings
- Commitment to social, economic, and racial justice
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed
- Reliable transportation
Starting at $45,000/year (depending on experience) for a 32‑hour workweek. Includes full medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, parental leave, 401K match, and professional development opportunities.
