El Centro Family Health is seeking a Part-Time 24 hours per week Diagnostic Imaging Coordinator (RN or LPN) dedicated to serving the needs of our community.
An ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Attention to detail.
- Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge and fluent skills of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage, and Outlook.
Under the supervision and direction of the Nurse Manager or Designee the Diagnostic Imaging Coordinator is knowledgeable and skilled at effectively communicating with patients the importance of receiving their diagnostic imaging order while assisting with scheduling, requesting prior authorizations, and tracking the order until results become available. Further, the Diagnostic Imaging Coordinator will flag abnormal results bringing them to the attention of the clinician and following up on overdue diagnostic imaging results.
The goal is to ensure that needed diagnostic imaging orders are performed, prior authorizations are requested in a timely manner, and results are tracked and flagged and brought to the attention of the clinician.
The Diagnostic Imaging Coordinator collaborates with Providers, Nursing staff, Patients, and outside Organizations to ensure the process of diagnostic imaging is complete and results are tracked and brought to the attention of the clinician.
The Diagnostic Imaging Coordinator works will all regions within the ECFH Organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education: Completion of program for Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse from an accredited course of study.
Licensure: Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure.
Experience: Minimum of one-year experience working health care field, preferably in a clinical setting.
Certification: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) / PALS desirable.
Other Requirements:Required at end of Introductory Period and annually thereafter.
