Job Opportunity
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM, to recruit an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Surgical Services team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients throughout the surgical experience. You'll work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, efficient surgical services while serving in roles such as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, post-anesthesia care nurse, or other perioperative support functions as needed.

PRN | Days | Nights
What You'll Do:
- Deliver nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare patients, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
- Serve as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or post-anesthesia care nurse as assigned
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Monitor patient recovery and provide education to patients and families
- Respond to changes in patient condition and surgical emergencies
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection prevention standards
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
- PALS certification preferred or required based on department needs
- Previous perioperative or operating room experience preferred
Additional Skills and Attributes:
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and perioperative nursing practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
