Job Title: Travel Charge Nurse – RN/LPN/LVN
Job Type: Travel – Full-Time
Contract: 13 weeks, with possible renewal
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Available
Shifts:
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Location: Las Vegas, New Mexico
Benefits: Contract employees are exempt from benefits.

WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Charge Nurse, you will provide nursing care within your scope of practice while serving as a clinical resource and leader for the nursing team during your shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring delivery of high-quality care, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during your supervisory shift.
- Serving as a resource to nursing staff regarding the quality and delivery of resident care.
- Providing direct resident care when needed.
- Administering medications and treatments timely and according to facility policy.
- Receiving, transcribing, and carrying out physician orders as permitted by the Nurse Practice Act.
- Effectively managing nursing personnel during your shift.
- Helping limit unnecessary overtime and agency utilization.
- Monitoring the work performance of nursing staff to ensure unit standards of care are maintained.
- Conducting regular staff meetings on your shift and communicating important updates to the DON.
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and team-oriented environment.
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational/Licensed Practical Nursing program or an approved Registered Nursing program.
- Current RN, LPN, or LVN license in the state of practice, as applicable.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the nursing team.
