SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for accepting, receiving, coordinating and distributing packages, letters, and materials through the New Mexico Highlands University campus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving of incoming packages from Central Receiving and Post Office.
- Enter data to Banner and other Shipping Systems from packing slips, tracking numbers, and invoices;
- Operate all Central Receiving and Post Office automated systems;
- Operate forklift in order to off load inventory from delivery trucks and/or move pellets and freight;
- Delivery of packages to designated departments;
- Receives and unloads shipments of materials and inventory;
- Reviews and verifies invoices of items received and prepares their receiving reports;
- Assist supervisor with inventory;
- Supervision of work study students;
- Process payments to freight companies;
- Operation and Coordination of Central Supply Warehouse;
- Minor equipment repairs
- Maintains regular attendance;
- Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
None.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Able to type.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to provide quality customer service.
Ability to make decision of a moderate nature.
Skill in communicating both orally and in writing.
