Responsibilities- Support environmental compliance and day‑to‑day environmental operations across multiple manufacturing and landfill sites, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and permits.
- Partner cross‑functionally to assess environmental risk, implement compliance programs, and drive continuous improvement aligned with business and customer objectives.
- Coordinate inspections, investigations, and corrective actions related to environmental and EHSS incidents, including root cause analysis and follow‑through.
- Manage regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and audits for agencies such as EPA, DOT, OSHA, and other governing bodies.
- Assist with landfill oversight, including compliance, usage tracking, and coordination with engineering on landfill cell construction.
- Promote environmental awareness and a strong safety and compliance culture through collaboration, training, and effective communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, engineering, health & safety, or another technical field.
- 2‑5 years of relevant experience in a regulated chemical manufacturing or chemical‑using facility.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven critical thinking skills and high ethical standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain an Industrial Class K Wastewater license and Certified Landfill Operator license.
- Experience with environmental permitting, compliance audits, root cause analysis, and interaction with regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and positively influence others without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of EPA FESOP and Title V, NPDES/POTW, RCRA, and solid waste landfill operations.
- Flexible hours and work‑from‑home Fridays.
