Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and execute capital projects from scope development through startup and closeout
- Manage capital investments across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Partner with plant leadership and corporate teams on project goals, budgets, and timelines
- Oversee equipment selection, procurement, vendor management, and contractor activities
- Support construction management, commissioning, startup, and validation activities
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, food safety, EHS, and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during project execution
- Support infrastructure assessments and long-term capital planning strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FSQ, EHS, Procurement, and Finance teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, packaging, utilities, and production systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum 4+ years of capital project engineering experience within manufacturing environments
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary capital projects up to $10MM - $50MM
- Strong background in FDA-regulated food or beverage manufacturing environments
- Experience with GMPs, food safety standards, and EHS compliance
- Knowledge of utilities, facilities, infrastructure, and process engineering systems
- Basic AutoCAD proficiency required
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and project timelines/budgets
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept through commissioning/startup
- CMMS or EAM experience preferred (Infor/Hexagon EAM highly preferred)
- PMP certification or PE license preferred
- Experience in aseptic or low-acid food manufacturing environments is highly preferred
