Raymond West is looking for a dynamic IT Support Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for handling Level I and II technical support.
Duties and Responsibilities- Sets up and maintains various network and computer related hardware and software.
- Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security.
- Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
- Remains abreast of changes in user and system software and hardware requirements.
- Monitors and administers the network, keeping system information up to date in various logs and spreadsheets.
- Troubleshoots minor networking problems.
- Loads and updates software applications as required.
- Helps maintain storage usage of the network, network printing, and network technical resources.
- Maintains access to the network, files, security, and rights.
- Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains video conferencing equipment.
- Works as part of on‑call rotation with other support team members to provide support after business hours or on weekends as needed when urgent requests arise.
- Maintains inventory for branch location and company.
- Works on site at primary location unless otherwise approved.
- Visits other branch locations as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, co‑workers, and managers in other departments.
- Willingness to work off‑hours as needed and assume more responsibility as required.
- Superior typing ability; accuracy is essential.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees both verbally and in writing.
- Present a clean, neat appearance, mature, and responsible.
- Maintain an organized and tidy work area.
- Manage time effectively.
- Maintain a professional attitude in all matters.
- Willing and able to learn quickly and perform accurately and neatly with a degree of flexibility.
- Motivated for continuous self‑development and training.
- Willing to comply with the employee handbook.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10% (approximately 4 hours a week).
- The employee must be able to be insured by Raymond West.
- Desk‑bound with light traveling.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Weekdays (Monday through Friday), 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. (or variable as required).
- On‑call rotation with other support team members to provide support after business hours or on weekends as needed.
- The hourly range for this position is $25.00 – $31.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
