Position Summary

Sam’s Club is opening a brand-new club in Lathrop, CA, and we’re looking for reliable individuals who are detail oriented and team focused to help bring it to life. As a founding associate, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the member experience, support club operations, and help create a culture of excellence from the ground up.

• Receive, unload, and process shipments in accordance with company procedures
• Verify merchandise counts, organize receiving reports, and route merchandise to appropriate areas
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom and receiving area
• Track and process claims, including damaged goods and returned merchandise
• Prepare and manage clearance and liquidation items
• Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety standards and guidelines
• Conduct safety checks and report unsafe conditions to management
• Support inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and maintain proper merchandise handling

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Forklift Certification or will obtain a Forklift Certification within 30 days of job entry date.
