We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Meat Department Maintenance Technician in our Lathrop, CA facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks in the areas of HVAC, Ammonia Refrigeration, PLC Trouble Shooting, Electrical repairs and installations, VFD’s, Painting, Plumbing, Welding, and Fabrication. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and maintain our building and equipment in the best possible condition.

• Perform preventative maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Assist in the testing/repairing of refrigeration systems.
• Maintain heating and cooling systems to IN-N-OUT Standards.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, NH3 ammonia) and schedule repairs.
• Perform general upkeep on tasks assigned by the Work Order System or Supervisor.
• Approximately 50% of your day will be spent performing preventative maintenance and repairs
• Pay Range is $30.71-$33.00 per hour
• The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.
• Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt)
• Hours:
  
  2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
• Some overtime as needed
• 5 days per week, rotating schedule and alternating days off
• Weekend and holiday availability required

• Five (5) years minimum experience as an “A” Maintenance Mechanic within a meat processing environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Ability to work independently and with others and perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Ability to understand occupational hazards and utilize standard safety practices.
• Ability to complete all assigned work including preventative maintenance and work orders in a timely manner.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Cold/Hot working conditions - Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 24 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit;
  Temperature fluctuations in the warehouse.
• Ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in the meat production room.
