Controls, Automation & Electrical Technician (3rd Shift)
Location:
Onsite, Lathrop, CA
Shift: 3rd Shift | Alternative Work Schedule | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Compensation:
Starting at $38.50/hour (including shift differential) + additional pay based on experience
We are seeking a skilled Controls, Automation & Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing maintenance team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial automation and electrical systems that support high-speed manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls, along with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, wiring, sensors, motors, instrumentation, and control devices.
- Support equipment installations, automation upgrades, commissioning, and process improvement initiatives.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including FDA requirements where applicable.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work order records.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve system performance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial automation, electrical maintenance, or controls.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and programming Allen–Bradley PLCs.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, motion control, and electrical schematics.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience with Beckhoff PLCs, Fanuc robotics, or machine vision systems.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing or food production environments.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
- Competitive hourly pay starting at $38.50/hour (including shift differential), with higher compensation based on experience.
