Description
Position Title:
Bookkeeper (Part-Time 20hrs)
Reports to:
Chief Administrative and Advancement Officer
Supports:
Seminary and Archabbey
Supervises: N/A
Primary function: Keeps financial records, tracks budgets, and manages grant budgets. Provides regular and ad hoc reports concerning financial matters of the Seminary and Archabbey.
Essential duties:
1. Routes and tracks invoices and updates expenditures for accurate and timely budget tracking.
2. Provides detailed financial reports and analysis related to budgets and expenditures.
3. Works with Business Office for auditing, reconciliation and documentation, and for producing special reports and reconciliation of department expense accounts.
4. Monitors, reports on, and tracks real-time expenditures related to grants.
5. Ensures fiscal grant compliance for appropriate expenditures.
6. Reconciles credit card expenditures for senior staff.
7. Helps prepare the annual budgets.
Other duties:
May attend meetings for the purpose of taking notes and preparing and distributing minutes.
Other duties as assigned.
Special challenges and environment:
Must be attentive to detail and be able to work in a consistent and methodical manner. Performs in a standard office environment. Occasional pressure due to deadlines, unexpected events, or scheduling requirements.
