Classroom Assistant

Baggaley Elementary School Hourly Rate: $19.25, with individual benefits

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Teamwork:
  Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to meet the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs of students. Contribute to a positive, safe, and supportive elementary learning environment.
• Instructional Support:
  Assist the lead teacher with small-group and individual instruction. Reinforce classroom lessons, activities, and learning objectives as directed by the teacher. Provide additional guidance and encouragement to students who need support.
• Student Supervision:
  Assist with student supervision during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, specials, and other school-related activities. Promote appropriate student behavior and positive peer interactions.
• Classroom Support:
  Help prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and maintain an orderly learning environment. Assist students with daily routines, classroom procedures, and independent work.
• Communication and Student Support:
  Communicate student needs, concerns, and progress observations to the classroom teacher. Support consistent implementation of classroom expectations and individual student plans, as applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher.
