Floor Care & Project Technician

$4,000.00 Sign On Bonus Eligible

Rotating schedule Monday thru Sunday daylight hours. Hours subject to change based on needs.

Performs daily routine and project floor care, including operating floor care equipment. Maintains the healthcare environment in a clean, sanitary and attractive condition for customers and employees utilizing various tools and powered equipment.

• Mopping resilient and hard floors.
• Stripping and refinishing resilient and floors.
• Scrubbing and burnishing resilient and hard floors.
• Carpet shampoo and extraction.
• Baseboard cleaning.
• Maintain all assigned equipment; keep equipment clean and in good repair, report all problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Comply with all hospital/department policies and procedures.
• Cognitive ability to function and concentrate on the essential and specialty functions of the job at a high level.
• Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing an essential or specialty function of the job.
• Ability to think and concentrate for an entire shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate with all members of the health care team.
• Independent thinking and decision‑making ability.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize assignments.
• Completion of 3–6 months of on‑the‑job training to learn work routines and operation of equipment.

• Experience in Healthcare setting.
• One (1) year of experience in floor care or project work.

• PA Act 34 Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History Clearance.

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

• Regular, consistent, on‑site and timely attendance.
• Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on‑call, etc.).
• Travel may be expected locally between Independence Health locations.
