Gippsland - Latrobe     Reference: 1975     About the role    The team at Latrobe Valley Infant, Child and Youth Service (LV ICY) are looking for someone passionate about supporting infants, children, young people and their families undergoing mental health recovery.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mental Health Clinician (Infant, Child and Youth) to join our Community Mental Health Services team in Traralgon in an ongoing position. In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working with a broad range of mental health presentations, providing high-quality, evidence-based and recovery-focused care across the Latrobe Valley region.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Conduct timely assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions in line with best practice.  - Provide individual, family and group interventions within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework.  - Work collaboratively with consumers, carers and community services to promote recovery and wellbeing.  - Contribute to safety planning, discharge planning and ongoing treatment reviews.  - Support the implementation of the Optimal Health Program and other recovery-oriented initiatives.
This role is part of a 7-day rotating roster and reports clinically to the Infant, Child and Youth Clinical Lead and operationally to the Site Team Manager.
About you    Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration as a Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Speech Pathologist.  - At least 2 years’ experience in mental health, or in working with infants, children and young people.  - Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, crisis management and care planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.  - A commitment to recovery-focused, family-inclusive and culturally safe practice.  - A current driver’s licence.
Applications are also welcomed from individuals who have completed five years of psychology training and are seeking a one-year internship pathway toward registration as a psychologist.
