Position Summary
Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead change efforts by providing clear expectations and guidance, implementing business solutions, and communicating objectives to teams.
Key Responsibilities- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manage and support customer service initiatives and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
- Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and provide process improvement leadership for a high‑quality customer experience.
- Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing Profit Loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; mitigate shrink to achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, and promoting belonging.
- Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
- Coordinate job‑related activities, build relationships with stakeholders, set goals, and measure progress.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Act with integrity, modeling Walmart values and fostering a regenerative company culture.
- Serve customers and members first, applying EDLP and EDLC business models, and base decisions on data insights.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting new technologies and encouraging learning.
- 2 years of college education; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Associates required to attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
- For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements: required to possess a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Completion of Certificate in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Competitive base salary ranging from $65,000 to $100,000, with annual or quarterly performance bonuses and regional pay differential adjustments.
