The Opportunity
Technimark is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to support our Latrobe operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys partnering with production and leadership teams, and is passionate about driving measurable improvements through Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.
You’ll identify improvement opportunities, lead CI projects, validate cost savings, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with Latrobe operations and leadership teams to identify, prioritize, and execute Continuous Improvement and Cost Savings (CI/CS) initiatives
- Develop strong relationships with plant personnel involved in CI, Lean, and cost-reduction activities
- Identify improvement opportunities and establish project baselines to track progress and savings
- Lead and support Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma projects in targeted focus areas
- Coordinate with plant leadership to validate project scope, classification, methodology, and savings
- Document all CI/LSS projects and maintain records within the Technimark CI SharePoint library
- Coach production supervisors, manufacturing managers, and leaders on Lean, CI, and Six Sigma tools
- Ensure appropriate CI tools and methodologies are applied consistently across projects
- Develop and maintain tracking and reporting systems for CI/CS progress (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
- Partner with Finance to validate cost savings and ensure initiatives translate to P&L impact
- Standardize successful improvements to support sustainability and replication
- Coordinate with internal and external resources to restore equipment and processes to standard when needed
Competencies & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean, and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety and standard work
- Experience working directly on the production floor with cross-functional teams
- Ability to analyze data, track performance, and clearly communicate progress and results
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on, collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organization
