GBC Advanced Materials is seeking a press operator in Latrobe, PA.
- Run the assigned powder compacting presses
- Periodically inspect the parts coming off the press and make adjustments as necessary to keep them within the operational limits
- Do weight and dimensional checks on the parts produced
- Make adjustments to the press as indicated by the SPC program
- Perform visual inspections under a microscope of the parts for defects
- Unload pressed parts off the press and onto sintering trays
- Log quantities of pressed parts into the traceability program
- Load appropriate power into presses as needed during production
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn to use micrometers
- Ability to use a stereo microscope
- Attention to detail and good manual dexterity
Salary is up to $20.00 per hour, DOE
