Job Title: Events and Annual Appeals Coordinator
Supervises: Mission Advancement Coordinator(s)
Supports: Archabbey and Seminary
Reports To: Chief Mission Advancement Officer
Primary function: Understanding the overall missionary focus and collaboration of mission activities of the Archabbey and Seminary. Provides leadership for fundraising, events, retreats/pilgrimages, and donor and alumni relations. All activities will support the fiscal health, resource development, communications, and strategic planning functions in order to maintain, strengthen, modify, and develop new aspects of the mission as represented in the Archabbey and Seminary.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 3-5 years experience in events, writing, relationships, public speaking, and assisting in marketing and communications. Must be able to be poised and discrete, working with many different groups.
Essential Duties- Resources:
- Oversee all fundraising activities, scheduling, and coordination for the annual fundraising campaigns.
- Write solicitations, brochures, articles, and the like promoting and highlighting the works of the archabbey and seminary.
- Lead agent for Archabbey and Seminary events working with volunteers, vendors, outside contractors and inside and outside of Saint Vincent.
- Maintain regular contacts with mid-level donors via calls, emails, events, and correspondences.
- Planning:
- Organize, coordinate, and support events with donors, friends, retreatants, and the like.
- Maintain reservations, RSVPs, collect ticket and retreat payments and deposits.
- Work with the Executive Leadership and support staff to draft, modify, and implement strategic plans to support mission activities.
- Provide regular reports and updates on the plan's execution to the BOR and Executive staff.
- Collect invitations and assemble correspondences with retreatants, donors, and friends.
- Communications and Marketing:
- Compose flyers, brochures, letters, and articles and oversee publications developed for engagement, awareness, and solicitation of funds.
- Produce reports for boards, grantors, individual donors, accreditation bodies, and Archabbey and Seminary leadership.
Position may require potential foreign and domestic travel and may require duties to be performed outside of traditional working hours.
