Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while promoting a focus on patient and employee safety. The RN will embrace the Core Values of the organization, ensuring superior quality in all actions, treating others with respect, being results‑oriented, and functioning effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, utilizing data to form individualized care plans.
  • Identify teaching needs and goals by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, focusing on education and achieving patient goals.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching early in the admission process.
  • Communicate effectively regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide direction and training to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Maintain personal and environmental safety standards as per hospital policies.
  • Engage in team building activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation.
  • Actively pursue professional growth through continuing education and self‑study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (specific to certain locations).
  • Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
Schedule

This position requires a Day shift with a 3x12.0 schedule.

Compensation

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
