Aviation QA​/QC Inspector

The Aviation QA/QC Inspector ensures that aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul activities comply with applicable FAA and Civil Aviation Authority requirements, manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. The role combines Quality Control (QC), through hands-on and real-time inspection of aircraft, components and technical work, with Quality Assurance (QA), through compliance monitoring, audits, documentation control and airworthiness record management.

The position requires strong technical judgment, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work closely with maintenance teams while maintaining the independence and rigor expected of the Quality function.

• Perform in-process and final physical and visual inspections of airframes, powerplants, avionics, electrical wiring harnesses and mechanical assemblies during and after maintenance activities.
• Verify that precision measurement tools, gauges, micrometers and test equipment are correctly calibrated, controlled and tracked.
• Perform return-to-service inspections and aircraft sign-offs within the scope of applicable regulatory requirements, company procedures and individual authorization, confirming that maintenance tasks are complete and the aircraft is safe for operation.
• Identify technical discrepancies or non-conformities and ensure they are appropriately documented and resolved before release.

• Monitor, research and interpret applicable Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs) and other technical requirements to support regulatory and technical compliance.
• Review, compile and maintain accurate historical maintenance logbooks, material test reports, configuration records and supporting airworthiness documentation.
• Coordinate and support internal audits and regulatory inspections conducted by aviation authorities and other authorized external parties.
• Assess new-hire technical skills and knowledge within the Quality remit and identify training needs to address competency gaps.
• Document system deficiencies, raise non-conformance reports and work with maintenance teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support continuous improvement of Quality procedures, inspection practices and compliance controls.

• Maintenance and Repair (MRO) environment with a primary focus on in-process and final inspections, maintenance tracking, logbook sign-offs, AD/SB tracking and return-to-service safety.
• Working knowledge of applicable FAA requirements, including 14 CFR Part 43 and Part 145, together with relevant Civil Aviation Authority requirements where applicable.
• Compliance with manufacturer maintenance data, company manuals, approved procedures and quality standards.

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on helicopter maintenance and/or aviation quality inspection experience.
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is mandatory.
• Strong practical knowledge of helicopter maintenance, inspection and airworthiness requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals and other approved technical data.
• Proficiency in the use of precision tools, including calipers, micrometers and gauges, as well as computerized maintenance tracking systems.
• Experience working in an FAA-regulated MRO or Part 145 environment is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality and regulatory compliance.
