Truck Driver CDL A

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Latrobe, PA. You will earn $1500 weekly, with solo miles pay $0.51 per mile (1800 miles per week) and solo stops pay $16.17 per stop (15 stops per week). Paid training, schedule Monday–Friday off weekends, start time 6:00 AM.

Deliver solo to PA and OH. Route: local home daily. Tractor type: day cabs. Trailer types: flatbed and covered wagons. Load securement only: steel. Ryder will train you on all equipment. 36‑month or newer trucks, 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at 800 locations.

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check (last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A verifiable experience in tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the last 3 years
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
• Some positions may require additional screening (employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, and/or badging or background requirements)

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
