Our client, a top global manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting regular and comprehensive cost analyses to help management understand the financial implications of production decisions.

2. Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger by verifying and reconciling all entries.

3. Preparing, analyzing, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.

4. Performing account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

5. Developing and maintaining financial forecast models to predict future revenues and expenses.

6. Collaborating with various departments to develop cost reduction strategies.

7. Reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

8. Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

9. Participating in financial audits and coordinating with internal and external auditors.

10. Providing cost accounting expertise to team members and stakeholders as needed.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience.

2. 1+ years of experience in cost accounting or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

3. Proficiency in cost accounting, general ledger, budgeting, account reconciliation, and forecasting.

4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
