Summary Statement

This year‑round seasonal position will sell park permits; provide customer service by explaining regulations; answer visitor requests, needs and complaints; and provide information about the park and surrounding areas. Responsibilities may include completing daily deposits, responding to inquiries for park permits and verifying follow‑up information and paperwork, creating associated revenue reports, running an automated sales program, tracking supplies and inventory, and other clerical duties as required.

The primary location will be the Alapocas Run State Park Office but will also work at the Wilmington State Parks Office when needed. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Essential Functions
  • Collects appropriate fees and accountability for handling of money.
  • Serves as liaison with the public, clients, staff and others to exchange information and explain services, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and compiles fiscal and narrative records and reports.
  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
  • Maintains a positive attitude.
  • Other duties are required.
Job Requirements

  • Six months customer service experience.
  • Six months experience in cash handling, writing receipts.
  • Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases.
