• Travel to individuals and businesses to sell equipment in defined sales area
• Look over customers' existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements
• Provide competitive information such as price quotes, and bundling with attachments in order to establish negotiated pricing.
• Perform product demonstrations and support
• Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk to customers in store or on phone
• Take orders and deliver products and estimate date of delivery to customer
• Arrange for repairs as needed
• Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales inventory
• Develop a call list and maintain information monthly
• Review sales reports
• Track and turn in gas and product receipts as expense report
• Must learn POS systems
• Maintain product knowledge on the features and benefits of equipment for sale and rental at the dealership. Knowledge of products related to the New Holland and Bobcat brands required.
• Analyze sales opportunities, solve customer problems, and participate in sales promotions.
• Monitor competitive activity and products
• Maintain customer data
• Understand the various financing options that are involved in the sale of new and used equipment.
• Attend sales events including training, meetings, and seminars related to the industry
• Maintain a professional image
