Position: Physical Therapist - School Setting in Laurel, MD
Bring your expertise in physical therapy to a dynamic school-based setting this summer, working closely with students and impacting their growth and development. A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist, with openings in both Extended School Year (ESY) and infant/toddler assessment services near Laurel, MD. All work is scheduled Monday through Thursday, granting you long weekends to recharge and enjoy summer.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience working in a school setting strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
• Comfortable providing support across various age groups, from infants to high school students
• Excellent organization and documentation skills

Role Opportunities & Responsibilities: Extended School Year (ESY):

• In-person assignment June 29 - July 30; four days a week (Monday-Thursday)
• Attend in-person professional development June 25
• Support students at Special Education Schools (9:30 am-3:30 pm) or General Education Schools (8:00 am-2:00 pm)
• Max of 6 hours of therapy per day, 24 hours per week
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, participate in IEP meetings, and document progress

Infant and Toddler Services and Assessments:

• Serve infants and toddlers from June 22 - July 30
• Provide critical assessments and early intervention, Monday-Thursday
• Up to 7 hours daily, 28 hours weekly
