Control Room Operator

Constellation Energy is seeking a Control Room Operator to oversee real-time power generation and distribution systems in a 24/7 operations environment. In this role, you will monitor SCADA and plant controls, respond to alarms, adjust equipment settings, and coordinate with field technicians to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient energy delivery. You will follow strict safety, regulatory, and environmental procedures while documenting system performance and supporting incident response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA and control systems to track power generation and distribution status in real time.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions, adjusting controls to maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Coordinate with field technicians, engineers, and dispatch to execute switching, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow all safety, regulatory, and environmental procedures and document compliance activities.
• Log operational data, prepare shift reports, and communicate status during shift handovers.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives in the control room.
