Senior Office Engineer
ASR is seeking a Senior Office Engineer to lead project document management across preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases supporting the USSS JJRTC Facility Engineering Branch in Laurel, MD. Responsibilities include ensuring the flow of paperwork and information is maintained throughout the project team and providing construction daily/monthly reports to the Project Manager and COR. The role involves logging, routing, and managing suspense of all submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), changes, estimates, and daily QA and Safety Reports.
It also requires ensuring all documentation received is logged in and distributed within 48 hours, keeping accurate, up-to-date electronic copies, and maintaining accurate databases and electronic documents on a network shared drive. The Senior Office Engineer must ensure the contractor is meeting submittal deliverable requirements per the specifications and that their submittal register is accurate and updated in real time.
Additionally, the role includes processing paperwork for campus access and maintaining ≤ 1 database inaccuracy per quarter (AQL).
Qualifications include 8+ years of typical document management and database experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience, knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and construction document management platforms (e.g., Procore, Prolog, e-Builder), among others. Effective communication skills with a diverse range of individuals, the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment, U.S. citizenship, the ability to pass a background check, and the ability to obtain and maintain a PIV card and Tier 1 (or higher) suitability determination are also required.
Government contracting experience, particularly with DHS, USSS, or federal construction programs, is preferred.
