We are seeking interns to join the Engagement Optimization Group to conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis to identify defensive systems gaps and develop groundbreaking system concepts to improve United States integrated air and missile defensive capabilities. We are also hiring interns to develop and maintain high-fidelity software models of current and future combat system baselines.

- Your primary responsibility will be contributing to the development and assessment of Missile Defense systems.
- You will work with a team to model, analyze, and assess fielded systems and identify opportunities for improvement, propose and develop innovative concepts and algorithms to improve capabilities, and conduct analysis to assess potential future systems performance.
- You will participate in a collaborative team environment dedicated to continual improvement, innovation, and producing high-quality products.
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Are pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science and have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Can effectively communicate complex technical concepts, both verbally and in writing.
- Have experience programming in MATLAB, Python, C++, or another high-level language.
- Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

- Hold an active government security clearance of Secret or higher.
- Have previous experience working for the Department of Defense (DoD), DoD contractors, or similar organizations.
- Have experience working with large-scale simulations, complex systems, or developing analytical toolsets.
- Have experience applying AI/ML tools to streamline data analysis or computer code generation.
