Safety & Security Advisor – Woodland Job Corps Center

This is more than a security position—it's a hands-on opportunity to protect, guide, and positively influence young adults every day through strong safety practices, accountability, and leadership.

The Safety & Security Advisor supports a secure residential campus environment by supervising student activity, responding to incidents, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all center policies and regulations.

• Support safety and security operations across the center
• Conduct routine security tours and monitor student activity
• Enforce safety, security, and occupational health standards
• Respond to emergencies and assist with incident investigations
• Complete accurate and timely incident and accident reports
• Recommend corrective actions based on findings
• Supervise and support student behavior and accountability
• Assist with dorm inspections and contraband searches as needed
• Maintain visitor control and facility security procedures
• Collaborate with staff across departments to support student services
• Communicate clearly through written and verbal reports

• Maintain integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in all reporting
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and strong work performance
• Follow direction from leadership and support multiple departments as needed
• Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Promote positive student behavior while enforcing rules and standards
• Support Career Success Standards (PRH guidelines)

Schedule Option 1

• Wed–Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sat–Sun: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Mon–Tues:
  Off

Schedule Option 2

• Mon–Thurs: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Friday: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Sat–Sun:
  Off

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
