Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Laurel, Md) & 2:00pm – 10:00pm (Point Breeze) Shift Available

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Job Coach to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a workplace setting. As a Job Coach, you will play a vital role in helping individuals build confidence, develop job skills, achieve greater independence, and succeed in their careers.

What You'll Do

As a Job Coach, you will:

  • Provide individualized coaching, training, and support in the workplace
  • Teach and reinforce job tasks, workplace expectations, and appropriate social interactions
  • Encourage independence while ensuring successful job performance
  • Implement Person-Centered Plans and Behavior Support Plans
  • Assist individuals in following work schedules and completing assigned duties
  • Support participation in community-based Meaningful Day Services activities
  • Respond professionally to behavioral challenges using approved intervention techniques
  • Complete required documentation, including attendance records, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Maintain safe, organized, and well-stocked work environments
  • Transport individuals using agency vehicles in accordance with agency policies
  • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and support teams to promote positive outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including CPR, First Aid, and behavior management training

Additional Information

This position may occasionally provide temporary coverage for a Janitorial Crew Supervisor when operational needs require.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 6 months of related experience or training preferred
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living (feeding, toileting, hygiene) as needed
  • Ability to remain alert, attentive, and physically active throughout the shift
