Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer I to join a collaborative engineering team supporting mission-critical software development in a secure environment. This role involves designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining enterprise software applications while contributing to every phase of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Java and .NET development, experience working across Linux and Windows environments, and a passion for building reliable, scalable software solutions using modern development tools and containerization technologies.

Key Responsibilities
* Analyze user requirements to develop software design and performance specifications.

* Design, develop, and enhance new and existing software applications.

* Debug software, identify defects, and implement effective solutions.

* Integrate software into new or existing operating environments.

* Develop and maintain data queries for databases and data repositories.

* Design and implement complex database interfaces and repository queries.

* Write, review, and maintain software and system documentation.

* Recommend improvements to software development processes, standards, and documentation.

* Collaborate with software engineers and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.

* Provide technical leadership appropriate to the software development process and project requirements.

Required Qualifications Education
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

* Additional applicable software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience
* Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, complexity, and technical requirements.

* Familiarity with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

* Knowledge of PKI infrastructure and X.509 certificates.

* Experience developing and maintaining unit tests.

* Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
