Payroll Coordinator
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll for South Central Regional Medical Center and affiliated entities. This position also performs assigned accounts payable duties and assists with other accounting functions as needed while working closely with Human Resources, department managers, and Accounting staff to ensure payroll and accounts payable activities are processed accurately and timely.
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of payroll, accounts payable, accounting, or related office experience required;
Working knowledge of payroll practices and basic accounting principles;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office;
Strong attention to detail;
Good organizational and communication skills;
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Process biweekly and monthly payroll in ADP Workforce Now;
Review payroll for accuracy prior to processing;
Audit timecards, pay rates, differentials, overtime, PTO, and other payroll items;
Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, and off-cycle payrolls;
Research and resolve payroll issues;
Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee pay changes, new hires, transfers, and terminations;
Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with payroll reconciliations;
Assist with month-end payroll reporting;
Process assigned accounts payable invoices;
Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts;
Assist with check runs and electronic payments;
Respond to vendor and employee questions;
Maintain payroll and accounts payable records;
Assist with other accounting duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
