Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support construction and facility engineering projects at the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), the primary training facility for the United States Secret Service in Laurel, Maryland.
This position provides direct project-level support for the execution of individual construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and supporting successful delivery of assigned projects from planning through closeout.
This role is focused on execution, technical delivery, and project administration under established program direction.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThefollowinginexhaustive list ofdutiesrepresentsa sampleofworkroutinelyperformedbythis role:
- Provide project-level support to the COR for assigned construction and facility engineering projects
- Manage day-to-day execution of individual projects including scheduling, coordination, and reporting
- Review construction documents, submittals, drawings, and specifications for contract compliance
- Identify and resolve field conditions and construction issues as they arise
- Support design reviews and constructability assessments
- Assist with preparation of Statements of Work (SOWs), cost estimates, and supporting documentation
- Support acquisition activities including site visits, contractor coordination, and technical clarifications
- Draft technical input for change orders and contract modifications
- Track contractor performance against established cost, schedule, and quality requirements
- Support project reporting and status updates to Government stakeholders
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and facility personnel to ensure project execution
- Support commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities
_ Required Education, Experience, and Technical Skills _
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; or equivalent experience
- PMP or other recognized project management certification preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of project management experience in federal construction projects
- Demonstrated experience managing construction projects valued at $50M or greater
- Strong knowledge of construction execution, contract administration, and project controls
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Government security clearance(s)
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
This position primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate-controlled environment. While in the office, there is no regular exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery.
This role also requires periodic travel to project sites, including locations undergoing renovation or active construction. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to non-temperature-controlled environments, construction noise, dust, and other typical conditions found on job sites. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during these visits, depending on site conditions.
_ While on site visits, an individual in this role will be required to work atypical hours at the request of the client or role demands. _
Physical Demands_ Sitting/Standing: _ This is not a sedentary role. This role requires the ability to be on your feet moving around a construction site for most of the day interacting with contractors, contractor representatives, and inspecting the construction work that is being performed.
_ Walking: _ This role requires the ability to move about outside in various geographic and building terrains to access a construction site to provide quality assurance services.
_ Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: _ This role requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and ladder climbing to inspect all aspects of building construction to foundations, crawlspaces, and roofs.
_ Using Hands/Fingers: _ This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
