Position Overview
Seeking a skilled and independent Home Health Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the field. This role focuses on disease management, patient education, and OASIS data collection while supporting patients in achieving optimal health outcomes in the home setting.
Schedule & Work Details- Location:
Laurel, MS and surrounding counties, primarily Covington, Jones, and Wayne counties - Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Weekly
Hours:
40-hour guarantee - On-call:
One weekend per month (typically every fourth weekend); one weeknight per week preferred - Mileage:
Reimbursed between patient visits (first to last visit) - Pay Rate: $51 to $53 per hour
- Perform skilled nursing visits in the home for disease management, assessment, and ongoing care
- Complete accurate and timely OASIS documentation in accordance with home health regulations
- Provide patient and family education to promote self-management and prevent hospitalizations
- Deliver hands‑on clinical care including IV therapy, wound care, catheter care, trach care, PEG tube management, and venipuncture
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Active Mississippi Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Prior home health experience
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Advanced hands‑on clinical skills including IV therapy, wound vacs, catheterization, trach care, PEG tubes, and venipuncture
- Ability to work independently and manage a variable daily route
- Strong time management, communication, and patient education skills
