Position: RN / LPN - SCC CLINIC FLOAT POOL

RN / LPN – Clinic Float Pool

Provides nursing care across multiple SCRMC clinics based on census and acuity. Acts as patient advocate, facilitates communication, and ensures continuity of care while adapting to frequent clinic reassignments. Supports clinic operations, documentation, and patient education.

• Current RN or LPN license by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.

• Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written communication.

• Previous clinic experience preferred.

• Familiarity with clinic procedures and protocols.

• Conduct initial patient assessments and screenings.

• Review/update medication lists and medical/surgical histories.

• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.

• Monitor patient vital signs during appointments.

• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.

• Perform wound care and dressing changes.

• Return patient calls/messages and document appropriately.

• Educate patients/families regarding conditions and medications.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.

• Maintain clean, safe clinic environment and adhere to infection control.

• Represent the organization professionally.

• Promote safety, infection control, and quality improvement.

• Maintain competency and adhere to policies.

• Adapt to frequent reassignments across clinics.

• Demonstrate teamwork, communication, and reliability.

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.

• Assist with patient transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics.

• Manual dexterity for procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
