Gas Service Technician II, or III

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Performs company field operations including manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair, and maintenance of natural gas distribution facilities. Handles customer requests and represents the Company in the community.

This position requires you to live within 30 minutes of Laurel Mississippi or relocation within 30 days of hire date. We are not offering relocation at this time. This position will have up at least 50%-75% travel daily to our customer locations within our Mississippi work territory. A company vehicle will be provided, which will require a valid, non-expired, Driver's License and no moving violations within the last 12 months.

• Initiates gas service and performs leak investigations and repairs.
• Locates gas lines.
• Reads gas meters.
• Conducts load surveys.
• Completes work orders in system for documentation.
• Serves as First Responder in emergency situations.
• Conducts Cathodic Protection system monitoring activities.
• Conducts odorization activities.

• Requires a high school education or GED for any level Service Tech listed below.

• Service Tech I:
  Requires no prior work experience.
• Service Tech II:
  Requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience ingas distribution or related field.
• Service Tech III:
  
  Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience ingas distribution or related field.
