Summary:

Robinson Electric Supply - CED is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Counter Sales & Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations, customer service, and inventory management. This position is ideal for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, logistics, customer service, and sales while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will assist with receiving and organizing inventory, loading and unloading trucks, fulfilling customer orders, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and providing basic counter sales support. Everyday is different, and success in this role requires a strong work ethic, positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn.

Part-Time Schedule

+ Approximately 20-30 hours per week

+ Daytime availability between 7:00AM - 5:00 PM

+ Scheduling flexibility may be available based on business needs and candidate availability

+ Additional hours may be available based on business needs

Reports to:

Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

+ Willingness to learn industry-specific warehouse tasks, including wire cutting and material handling

+ Ability to squat, kneel, bend, twist, and climb ladders

+ Ability to stand and work on a concrete floor for the duration of a shift

+ Basic math skills

+ Basic computer proficiency

+  Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of electrical products, materials, and industry terminology

+ Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn

No warehouse experience is required. Candidates with electrical product knowledge are STRONGLY encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions:

+ This position works primarily in a warehouse environment and may require work outdoors.

+ Employees may be exposed to varied weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Take walk-in customer orders in person and over the phone

+ Build familiarity and relationships with new and returning customers

+ Receive and inspect incoming freight shipments

+ Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

+ Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe

+ Stock inventory and organize materials on shelves

+ Pick customer orders accurately

+ Process customer and vendor returns

+ Package and ship materials via UPS and LTL carriers

+ Operate a Microsoft-based computer system

+ Perform general warehouse and facility maintenance tasks

+ Assist with other duties as assigned to support business operations
