Communications Officer I (Dispatcher

The City of Laurel is accepting applications for a full-time Communications Officer I position in a 24/7 dispatch center. Shifts cover all hours of the day, including holidays and weekends. The starting probationary wage is $24.87 per hour. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, employees will receive a $1.00 per hour wage increase. Applicants who currently hold a Montana Intermediate or Advanced Public Safety Communications Certificate are encouraged to apply.

Qualified applicants may be hired at the appropriate Communications Officer II or III classification based on their certification and qualifications.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some work experience in an office setting dealing with the public is preferred.
