DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
- Valid Montana Driver's license
- Ability to work outside during inclement weather
- Ability to recognize potential hazards that inhibit persons or property.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to self-motivate and be self-directed.
- Works in varying capacities in accordance with assigned roles.
- Secures school district buildings and facilities as directed.
- Maintain and provide the Superintendent with a log of security checks.
- Maintain and provide the Superintendent with reports of any and all incidents.
- Must be able to work independently and unsupervised.
- Makes recommendations to correct security issues once identified and contacts the appropriate school personnel.
- Prevents unauthorized visitors from entering school buildings and/or loitering on school property.
- Maintains liaison with police, fire or other municipal departments to ensure maximum use of their services in order to provide adequate safety and security.
- May assist in handling emergency situations until the proper authorities can arrive to assess the situation.
- Report large equipment malfunctions and repair needs to immediate supervisor.
- Adheres to all rules/regulations as established in the district safety manual.
- Ability to hand stressful situations and effectively manage time and responsibilities.
