Job Summary:As a critical member of the Laurens County EMS team, you will provide life-saving pre-hospital care and safe transportation for the ill and injured within our community. Working under a 24-hour tour of duty, you serve as a frontline responder dedicated to maintaining readiness and delivering professional medical intervention when every second counts.
Top Responsibilities:•
Emergency Response & Patient Care: Respond to emergency locations to assess medical situations, determine the most effective treatment, and provide intervention within your licensed parameters.

Safe Transport & Communication: Provide secure transport for patients to emergency facilities while maintaining vital communication with receiving hospitals regarding patient conditions.
•
Operational Readiness: Stand by for calls during 24-hour shifts, ensuring all medical materials and emergency vehicles are resupplied and ready for immediate deployment.
•
Documentation & Administration: Maintain precise legal documentation of all patient care in computer reporting systems and prepare daily shift and incident reports.
•
Facility & Vehicle Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping for EMS facilities and assist in relocating vehicles for routine or non-routine maintenance.

Requirements
What you Bring:- Experience: Between six months to one year of experience in emergency medical services, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED supplemented by vocational or college‑level education in emergency medical services.
- Skill Highlight: The ability to remain calm and make sound, independent decisions under high stress while performing complex medical tasks and physical lifting.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must hold a valid SC Driver’s license and SC EMT‑Basic certification, BLS, PHTLS or BTLSC; and completion of a CEVO course.
